The
2004 Saratoga 4x4 is set to begin!
The four
chefs of the third annual Saratoga 4x4 have agreed on more details
of this year’s special event. The 4x4, which was founded
in 2002, is a
series of four special four-course dinners held at four of Saratoga’s
best
restaurants in January, February, March and April. The goal is
to bring a
little fun and glamour to the dark, cold months of winter and
showcase local
produce and culinary talents. Tickets are $75 per person including
four
wines (one with each course), tax and tip.
The first
event will be at The Wine Bar on Broadway in Saratoga on Monday,
January 26. Chefs from four different restaurants will gather
on Wine Bar
Chef Mark Graham’s turf to prepare a four-course meal with
four wines.
Chef Larry Shepici of Sargo’s at the Saratoga National Golf
Club will
prepare the first course, Chez Sophie Bistro’s Paul Parker
will prepare the
second course and Springwater Bistro’s David Britton will
make dessert.
Reservations
will be taken for two seatings at the Wine Bar, at 5:30 p.m.
and 8:30 p.m. To reserve a seat at the first event, call The Wine

The second
event, hosted at The Springwater Bistro by Chef/Co-owner David
Britton, will be February 26, with staggered seatings starting
at 5:30 p.m. and continuing throughout the evening. The appetizer
will be made by the Wine Bar, the second course by Sargo’s,
the entrée by Springwater and the dessert by Chez Sophie.

The 4x4
event at Chez Sophie Bistro will be Tuesday, March 23, with a
single
seating at 7 p.m. Cole Broderick will play jazz piano at Chez
Sophie that
night. Springwater’s Britton will make the first course,
Wine Bar’s Graham
the second, Chez Sophie’s Parker the entrée and Sargo’s
Shepici the dessert.

The last
event in the series will be hosted by Chef Larry Shepici at Sargo’s
at the Saratoga National Golf Club on Thursday, April 15. Parker
will make
the appetizer, Britton will prepare the second course and Graham
will make
